Kratos’ Original Leviathan Axe Cosplay Replica – God of War

Kratos’ Original Leviathan Axe Cosplay Replica – God of War

Kratos’ Original Leviathan Axe Cosplay Replica from God of War is inspired by the legendary weapon wielded by Kratos, the Ghost of Sparta, in the acclaimed God of War video game series. Introduced in God of War (2018), the Leviathan Axe becomes Kratos’ primary weapon during his journey through the Norse realms alongside his son, Atreus.

Unlike Kratos’ earlier Blades of Chaos, the Leviathan Axe represents a new chapter in his life. Originally belonging to his wife Faye, also known as Laufey, the axe passes to Kratos following her death.

Within the game’s lore, the legendary dwarven blacksmith brothers Brok and Sindri forged the Leviathan Axe to help restore balance against the destructive power of Thor’s hammer, Mjölnir.

Furthermore, the axe possesses extraordinary frost-based abilities. Kratos can channel freezing energy through its blade, throw it towards distant targets and magically summon it back into his hand.

This JT2166 cosplay replica represents the original or base-level style of the Leviathan Axe, rather than the increasingly elaborate upgraded versions encountered throughout the game.

Its distinctive Norse-inspired design captures the imposing appearance of Kratos’ famous axe while remaining practical for costumes and display.

A Practical Leviathan Axe Cosplay Replica

The JT2166 Leviathan Axe features PU foam construction with an internal fibre-reinforced rod, providing additional structure without requiring heavy metal components.

Moreover, the replica measures approximately 99cm (38.97 inches) overall and weighs approximately 550g. Therefore, it offers substantial visual presence while remaining more manageable than a traditional metal reproduction.

The non-metal construction makes it particularly suitable for Kratos-themed costumes, conventions, gaming photography and decorative collections.

Additionally, its original Leviathan Axe styling complements other God of War replicas, including Kratos’ Blades of Chaos and Guardian Shield.

As a result, the JT2166 makes an excellent addition to a complete Kratos cosplay setup or a dedicated collection of weapons inspired by the Norse-era God of War games.

This Kratos’ Original Leviathan Axe Cosplay Replica from God of War captures the iconic appearance of Kratos’ legendary Norse weapon. Its 99cm overall length, reinforced PU construction and original axe styling make it suitable for costumes, photography and gaming displays.
