The MEU(SOC) pistol, (“Marine Expeditionary Unit”; “Special Operations Capable”) officially designated the M45 MEUSOC,^[5] is a magazine-fed, recoil-operated, single-action, semiautomatic pistol chambered for the .45 ACP cartridge. A variant of the M1911, it has been the standard-issue side arm for the Force Recon Element of the United States Marine Corps’ Marine Expeditionary Units since 1985.

The WE-Tech / CQB Master 1911 MEU pistol is the perfect classic side arm with a touch of modern. This famous pistol design has over a hundred years of heritage and has seen service with US Armed Forces since the year 1911. To this day the 1911 pistol is a favourite amongst military, law enforcement, and civilian shooters alike; from its comfortable ergonomics to its ultra crisp trigger. Not much was needed to improve upon this classic design, but the MEU does include a few quality-of-life enhancements to make this pistol more enjoyable. The MEU changes include adjustable Novak style rear sight, slip-resistant moulded rubber grip, enlarged beaver tail, enhanced slide serrations, and ambidextrous safety make up the list of subtle alterations to this classic.

It is a good idea to let your magazine return to regular temperature before using it again for optimized performance.
