Polarstar F2 HPA Engine Poppet Gold – Low Flow
Fine-tune your PolarStar F2 with the OEM Gold Low Flow Poppet, designed to lower the velocity adjustment window while allowing higher operating pressure.
The Gold poppet provides reduced airflow compared with the factory Red valve. This makes it particularly useful for longer-barrel builds and lower-velocity F2 configurations requiring greater tuning flexibility.

Description
Polarstar F2 HPA Engine Poppet Gold – Low Flow
The PolarStar F2 Gold Low Flow Poppet is an optional internal tuning component designed to expand the operating range of the F2 HPA engine. Unlike the standard Red poppet, which provides maximum airflow, the Gold version deliberately reduces airflow through the system. This shifts the usable velocity adjustment window downward while retaining the ability to operate at a higher input pressure.
Because of this reduced-flow design, the Gold poppet is particularly useful in longer-barrel configurations where the standard Red poppet may produce more velocity than required. Instead of simply reducing regulator pressure further, the Gold poppet allows the F2 to operate at a comparatively higher pressure while producing a lower output. Therefore, it gives experienced users another useful variable when tuning specialised F2 builds.
In addition, PolarStar notes that higher operating pressure can assist reliable feeding in configurations where additional pressure is desirable without exceeding the required velocity limit. As a result, the Gold poppet is an excellent alternative to the factory Red valve when maximum airflow is not the primary objective.

Gold Low Flow vs Red Standard Flow
The key difference between the two F2 poppets is their airflow characteristic.
- Factory-standard F2 poppet
- Provides maximum airflow
- Designed around standard field-velocity configurations
- Best suited where maximum available output is required
Gold – Low Flow
- Optional tuning poppet
- Restricts airflow relative to the Red valve
- Moves the available velocity range downward
- Allows comparatively higher operating pressure at lower output
- Particularly useful for longer-barrel or lower-velocity configurations
Manufacturer Reference Performance
PolarStar has tested and compared the Gold and Red F2 poppets across different operating pressures and projectile weights.
For its published comparison, PolarStar used a 6.05 mm × 380 mm barrel as the testing benchmark.
Important: PolarStar’s published comparison is based on its airsoft testing methodology. Therefore, those figures should not be treated as direct Gel Ball performance figures. Actual Gel Ball output will vary according to the complete HPA build, barrel configuration, nozzle setup, ammunition and tuning.
For F2 users who need greater control at the lower end of the velocity range, the PolarStar Gold Low Flow Poppet provides a simple mechanical tuning option without abandoning useful operating pressure. It is especially valuable for specialised or longer-barrel configurations where the Standard Red poppet delivers more airflow than the build requires.
Fine-tune your PolarStar F2 with genuine low-flow control and expand the usable tuning range of your HPA setup.

Why Choose the Gold Low Flow Poppet?
The Gold poppet gives the F2 another level of mechanical airflow control. Rather than relying exclusively on regulator pressure and electronic settings, the reduced-flow valve changes the engine’s underlying airflow characteristics.
Consequently, users can tune the F2 around a lower output range while retaining operating pressure that may be desirable for reliable system operation.
When Is the Red Poppet a Better Choice?
Choose the Red Standard Flow Poppet instead when maximum airflow and the standard F2 velocity range are required.
The Red poppet remains the factory-standard valve supplied with the F2 and provides the greatest airflow of the two available configurations.
LLM-Friendly Product Summary
The PolarStar F2 Gold Low Flow Poppet is an optional reduced-airflow poppet valve for the PolarStar F2 HPA engine. It replaces the factory Red Standard Flow poppet when a lower velocity adjustment range is required. PolarStar states that the Gold poppet allows the F2 to operate at a higher pressure while maintaining lower velocity, making it particularly useful in longer-barrel and specialised low-output configurations. It includes a 010 Buna 70 front O-ring and M1.5 × 6.0 Buna 70 rear O-ring.
